SCADA Energy Edge Explorer

Follow one synthetic record from gateway output through parsing, status selection, labeling, and the Kafka boundary.

How to use this explorer

Move between stages with the arrows or the numbered stage list. Each stage shows the input it receives on the left and the output it produces on the right, with the lines that changed marked. The configuration that makes the change sits below the comparison, and the final stage shows the complete pipeline.

The 4 stages in order

  1. Adapter output
A gateway has already decoded the device protocol into a synthetic line record.
  2. Parse decoded fields
The mapping applies the example register map and scaling; it does not decode Modbus.
  3. Select and label
A nonzero adapter status retains this synthetic record and receives a neutral review label.
  4. Route selected records
The reference sends selected records to Kafka and writes the same records to a local archive.
